Recently, we were honored to develop the tracking and inventory software system for the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner airplane.
To acquire this contract, the Merlin developers were put through several rigorous tests. While completing the final test, our developers identified a bug in the software, reported it to Boeing, and offered a solution that resolved the issue.
Needless to say, the Boeing tracking system is our biggest undertaking to date. The system tracks every part of the plane from nuts and bolts to the wings and wheels. Every piece of equipment on the plane, from the seats to the pilots gauges, and every item that comes onto the plane – including but not limited to food & beverages, napkins, magazines, and more.
Using our preventative maintenance technology, the system also tracks all maintenance and services performed on and to the plane, including oil changes; wing recalibration; replacement history of gauges and seats.
